Honeypot Hero is an arcade-style game inspired by the Windows 9x line of operating systems (Windows 95, 95 and Millenium Edition). You control a hand icon which follows your mouse at all times, and your goal is to clear the screen of any enemies that are spawned each wave. You will need to redirect the enemies into the flaming recycle bin in the centre of the screen. I made the game in 2 days as practice for an upcoming game jam, to see if it was possible to make a game in a short timeframe.
You may wonder why I have chosen "Honeypot Hero" as the game's title. After all, there is no honey to be seen in the game. In computing, a "honeypot" is a security mechanism used to counteract unauthorised attempts to use a system. I have chosen to name the game "Honeypot Hero" as it fits well with the game's theming.
The game can be downloaded here.
